And so it begins!

And so it begins, the 1st day this website has been live and my 1st blog.

First of all can I welcome you all to the Lac du Coron website, a new carp fishery in France with a different kind of vibe.

Many of you that know me know I love France and have done for as long as I can remember, as does my fiance Sharon so it was inevitable that one day we would find what we wanted.

We were looking for a stunning lake in an area we wernt that excited about but somewhere that ticked all the boxes. A stunning lake in the Loire with our new permanent home close by, No more than 5 hours drive from Calais, Brilliant water quality and the land and potential to develop and grow the water so that when we open in May 2016 our guests will be greeted by a simply stunning fishery that has that diferent kind of vibe.

At the moment of course there is a huge amount of work to do, the lake hasn't been touched since 1998, so the banks are over grown and the fish that were stocked in 1992 are hungry and plentiful. We are also adding a further 2 acres to the lake by extending out into the flood plane which wiill create an almost boomerang shaped lake that will provide our guests with a brilliant challenge in comfortable and breathtaking surroundings.

Of course being a life long carp angler myself there will be a few extra tweaks and facilities that I am sure everyone will be greatful for.

This blog will be updated every month and will not only cover the goings on at Lac de Coron but also my adventures. I have always craved and enjoyed the solitude of large public waters, the adventure and the challenge is a great contrast and I am lucky to have several rivers and public lakes within minutes of my front door. What I may uncover could be amazing, but either way the adventure will be an exciting one.

I will also do video blogs when ever possible to bring this adventure to life more than I ever could in words. With the huge ammount of work scheduled for Lac de Coron and my adventures there will always be plenty to bring you every installment.

In the next blog I will go through the specifics of the lake, the prices, the stock, the facilities and how to book. We already have a lot of interest from anglers wanting to book on for spring 2016 and we have kept those all on file so we can get back to you this Autumn, if you would like to register your interest or book on for a trip in 2016 then please email us here bookings@lacducoroncarpinfrance.com and we will get back to you straight away.

Loads of exciting stuff to tell you all next time so please check back soon.
