Useful Information

I have done a quick video below to give you as much useful information as possible, but here are the main bullet points:

  • You are welcome onsite from 1pm on Saturday and must leave the site by 10am the following Saturday

  • We have a small SPAR type shop 2 minutes from the lake, it is open Tuesday - Sunday morning and closed all day Monday and closed for lunch

  • In Coron village we have a Tabac, 2 little bars, Pizza van on a Friday night, a pharmacie, hotel and a bakers

  • 10 minutes away is Vihiers town, which has everything you could need including a large supermarket open Monday - Saturday (9am-5.30pm)

  • We are in a rural area in France, remember this is not a 24hr society!

  • I have a day off from cooking on a Thursday so if you are on the food packages it does not include any food on Thursday

  • Here at the lake we have the following facilities for you to use all week:

    • Lodge/mobile home, this is not for sleeping in, it is an area to cook, wash and socialise

    • The lodge has a kitchen with cutlery, pots, pans, hob, oven, microwave etc, a seating area, table and chairs, changing room, shower room & tackle shop

    • There is also a roofed terrace outside the lodge that over looks tha lake and has a 6 seater table and chairs

    • There is also a large gaz BBQ

  • Outside there is an eco toilet that is clean and stocked with toilet roll

  • There is a large covered shelter between Lotties & Rolos (swims 1 & 2) that houses a shelved area with 4 English plug sockets for charging

  • Underneath the shelter is also a bait freezer capable of holding 60kg of freezer bait. If you need more storage then I can take upto 100kg home

  • There is a den in The Double, it is not water tight but makes a great place for a social and to get out the summer sun

  • Parking; you can park in Lotties, 5m from Rolos, 25m from The Double and 30m from The Channel

  • This is a natural fishery, as such we are open to the effects of the weather. Swims are chipped and unless there is extreme flooding are comfortable, however if the site is wet driving along the back track may be prohibited. In this situation I will help you transport tackle to the swims.

  • There is shelflife bait stocked in the shop, Mainline Salty Squid & Mainline Fruitella, I do not carry Coron Specials in the freezer at the lake, so a small bit of notice is required if you need any so I can drop it in to you from home

  • Particle is all fresh so we need 24 hours notice

I hope that is the majority of the main questions answered, Nic.
