Welcome to Lac Du Coron

Carp Fishing In France With A Different Kind Of Vibe

When Nic came over to France in 2015 the aim was always to create a wild, natural fishery that gave anglers a real break from the world. Nature all around you, special hand picked fish. not countless rules, and freedom to enjoy your fishing and surroundings.

We also want to make sure your stay is comfortable, and that you have the basic facilities onsite to ensure you enjoy every minute of your trip to Lac Du Coron.

As you scroll down this page you will find our availability, blogs, prices, about our lake, the facilities, rules and more,

The Lake

Lac Du Coron is very similar to an English estate type lake of a little over 4 acres.

Not to wide, wooded, surrounded by reeds and overhangs; with a shallow weedy end that is a stalkers paradise and a slightly wider deeper section Infront of the cabin.

There are 4 main swims, and the intricate little Channel swim tucked away at the end of the lake. All of our swims are on one bank meaning nobody is too far away and everyone can enjoy a social and be a part of each others success.

Our Carp

Lac Du Coron is is a well stocked water, meaning there is always a bite to be had. There is an even mix of commons and mirrors, with many special, much sought after fish amongst them. The condition, colours and look of these fish is rare to find, from scale perfect commons, to stunning fully scaled's, zip linears, starbursts and even the much loved big ghosty.

The average weight is currently around 28lbs, and annually we work to remove the young fish that have spawned on in the lake as well as the wildies that lived here before we arrived. There are many fish over 30 and 40 that are growing well, as well as two fish that go just over 50 at the right time of year.

Lac Du Coron is a medium water we  would say, with 30+ fish often reported in a week

The Facilities

The facilities at Lac Du Coron allow anglers that little bit of much needed comfort. It doesn't always feel it, but a week is a long time. Being able to cook a proper meal, have a hot shower and sit down comfortably with your mates inside or on the terrace is a great addition to the lake.

We have mains electric and water, UK charging points in a separate undercover area, a composting toilet, an outdoor hot plate as well as a full kitchen inside, a terrace and picnic table.

Meet Nic

"With Lac Solace and Lac Du Coron my aim was simple; to create an enviroment I would love to be in, carp that would put a huge smile on my face, nature all around me and facilities that would mean our anglers could be comfortable and enjoy great times with the group. I think we have done that" Nic has been a dedicated carp angler since he was 13, being a sponsored angler, consultant and even the marketing director for a huge UK brand. he has also worked in the tourism industry in france giving him a unique insight into what people want from their holiday. Although Nic is only in his 30's he would probably be referred to as an 'old skool' angler, and the same could be said of his fishery management style. If you are looking for portaloos dotted around the lake, electric behind every bivvy and gravelled, manicured swims, then Nic's waters are probably not the ones for you. He wont spend all day telling you 'how it should be done' or checking all year gear for rule breaking. His lake are for serious, experianced anglers and he trusts you to treat the enviroment, the lake, the carp and facilities with respect. His aim is to keep the lakes, surroundings and swims as natural as possible. We go fishing to emerse ourselves in the enviroment of the lake, well thats how Nic feels. Both Lac Du Coron and Lac Solace also have clean, well looked after and very functional cabins for cooking, showering and socialising as well as toilets, BBQ's and charging points, nic is well aware that this is a holiday and a comfortable place to kick back for a cold beer is important too!

Lac Solace

Lac Solace  is our second water, 10 minutes down the road from Lac Du Coron.

It is a very different water to Coron, more like a small gravel pit, shallow and weedy. It would definitely be classed as a hard water that suits experienced anglers, but the rewards are always special with an average weight of over 40lbs, lots of 50's topped by the long common at over 60lbs!
