As part of the annual winter chores, adding to and most importantly complimenting the existing stock is an important part of the cycle, as it lake nettings, improvements, tree work, de silting, digging; the list goes on and on.

Part of the enjoyment for me is to source and pick a few new fish from different farms to introduce new strains, shapes and scale patterns into the lake, they won't always be huge, but I will have picked them for theor looks and young age meaning they will grow healthy and naturally in Lac Du Coron, not be force fed stock pond fish.

We have 30 unique strain fish arriving in a couple of weeks, but ahead of that I visited a local fish farmer called Food & Fish to pick just a couple of fish that I really liked to add into the lake, let me know what you think.
