An Interesting Night
It has been quite a long time since I have managed a proper night on Lac Du Coron, before my night a month ago the last two opportunities I had both ended shortly after they began as the fish embarked on yet another carpy orgy. Last month I was kindly invited for a night with a group of 3 anglers on the lake and Mac and I did the night in The Channel That night flew by with fish showing all around me and I did manage 3 takes. 1 I dropped and the other two were little wildy co

A few photos from my morning walk
It occurred to me that I don't do enough photography, in fact recently its been non existent, there’s always something to do so when wou

Life after spawning!
There is a reason we call March/April and early May 'clubbing season' is pretty easy to understand with big carp from all over Europe on social media and in the magazines. As they wake up from their winter slumber it always takes them a month or so to be totally on ther guard. But after spawning in my exoeriance things always change after winter, banker baits, colours and methods often seem to become redundant and new baits and methods are called for, it always seems a tad tr

*2018 Diary Change - November weeks now available*
To give the lake and the fish a break I have decided to close Lac Du Coron between October 13-27th, this is in addition to the 7 weeks we are closed for rest weeks throughout the season. I will therefore extend the season to include the very productive weeks in November. November 3rd - 10th

See the final stocking of the winter.
I am really pleased that the new fish have gone in nice and early this winter, it means they have a good few months to chill out, recharge and have a little feed before next seasons anglers arrive in late Feb. So this second stocking of the winter was made up of 5 crackers topped by a 47lbs mirror (above.) As well as that there were two new mid 30's a stunning low 30 and a torpedo of an upper 20 common. Here they are..... In addition to these new crackers we stocked another 9

I'm going fishing, and conditions are changeable!
Well as many of you know we are now half way through the 1st of our 2 week mid summer close down. We have celebrated our wedding anniversary with close friends and family and worked hard at the lake cutting trees, tweaking the aeration system, painting the terrace and feeding the fish. But today Sharon and I are on our own for the first time in 6 weeks. We miss all our friends and family, but it does mean 1 thing, it's fishing time! I managed to do a couple of hours yesterday

Loads of catch shots from the last few weeks at Lac Du Coron
It's has been a busy time over the last few weeks with lots of cracking fish banked and just as many lost.
Take a look at the success our anglers have had. Few more to get, but these are a great start. #coronvibe #Frenchcarpfishingholidays #Frenchcarpfishing #bigcarp #Frenchcarp #catchreports #mirrorcarp #commoncarp #LacduCoron #Coronvibe

2 week close down
That's us done for a few weeks as we close down for a fortnight, see friends and celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Where does the time go!? It doesn't mean that the carp will go hungry though, far from it as I will be giving them an awful lot of bait over the next few weeks. Roughly 100kg a week of both Coron Specials, Maize, Lupins, Coron Pellet Mix and Activ8. Dad is hard at work tarting up the terrace too. Even I'm going to fish next week and take the opportunity to get lo

*Water Improvement*
Many of you know that we have regular rest weeks throughout the season. Next week is one such week.
In addition to a really good feed up I am also pleased to announce we will be installing a new aeration system into Lac du Coron. The new underwater based system has a number of advantages over our fountain, most importantly from the anglers point of view it will be loads quiter! I will so be able to distribute the system over a wider area getting a better spread.
