The facilities at Lac Du Coron are designed to be clean, simple and functional, allowing you to fish effectively and comfortably. We have a mobile home, known as the lodge a few metres from the waters edge. In the lodge we have a small but fully equipped kitchen with 2 gas hobs, fan oven, fridge/freezer, planche, kettle and all the pots, pans, plates bowls and cutlery you need. There is a hot shower, small tackle shop stocking the full Atomic Tackle end tackle range, leads, o
With pressure through the roof and freezing cold nghts the lads did really well last week to tempt a couple of real Lac Du Coron stunners. What was most interesting to me was the the long male called 'moonscale' has 100% not been caught before and Matts 28, although it looks like a fish I have seen before has also not been caught before that I know of fish both were up in weight and both in mint condition. The lads had a huge ammount of fish crashing in the area, but apart fr
After 12 weeks of incredibly hot weather and even longer without rain a change in conditions has been needed in a big way. Unfortunately for the guys over the last days that change has come very very quickly. Still no rain but a fall in day time temperatures of nearly 20 degrees and 10 degrees at night has shocked the fish a bit and the fishing has really struggled. That being said Nathan had the mid 20 common and new PB on Monday, Stuart had that cracker and PB yesterday an
After a tricky 1st day with liners, false pick ups and fish boshing all over him Stuart who is fishing in Rolos kept accurate and was rewarded with this stuner last night, it was a pleasure to be on hand to take the pictures. #fishinginfrance #frenchcarp #frenchcarprigs #frenchfishing #frenchcarpfishing #carpholidays #carpfishingholidays #nightfishing #carpinfrance #carprigs
Another stunner for Rich who caught this previously uncaught stunner early this morning from underneath the aerator. Sun drenched and covered in big scales this is what Lac Du Coron is all about! #carp #bigcarp #carpfishing #scalycarprolosswim #carpholidays #carpfishingholidays #carpfishinginfrance #lacducoron
Fishing over the last few weeks has been hard at Lac du Coron and all over the country to be honest. After an incredibly wet start to the year and a far below average tempreture things have literally turned on their head and as I sit here typing at 7am it is already 24 degrees and set to be 36+ today. The fish have obviously found this hard to handle, especially with spawning which has basically been going on for a few days a week for 3 months, I am really looking forward to
I will soon be doing a couple of nights myself where I will of course try and put a little film together. In the meantime as I have been working down there this week I have been trying to capture a few little snippets for the films cutaways, thought you may like to see this clip (0; #coronvibe Save #anglersmail #anglersmailmagazine #stickybaits #TheSource #baitworks #coronvibe #nightfishing #frenchcarpfishing #carpbait #spawning #carpinfrance #carpfishingcompetition #carpfarm
An awful lot has happened in the last 18 months, in fact it has all been a bit of a whirlwind and I am only just getting my head around it al now. It was a real honour to be asked by Tim Knight at the Anglers Mail to put a few words on paper about Sharons and I move to France, the process, the work behind it etc etc, so I did just that and a few weeks ago the story came out in the magazine. If you didnt get a chance to pick up and Anglers Mail and would like to have a read, t
In this short video I take a look at my approach. How I would choose to tackle Lac du Coron taking into account what I have learnt observng our anglers and the tips and tricks I picked up fishing over the winter.
I look at rigs, hookbaits and baiting aproaches.

Well what a brilliant 1st few weeks we have had over at Lac Du Coron. After months of back breaking work we eventually opened our gates at the end of April, since then we have had over 20 anglers, 1 50 pounder, 13 different 40's, loads and lods of 30's and plenty of 20's and by my calculations there are still 25 fish or more that haven't even been caught yet. As I write this we have a moment of calm, 5 anglers have just left and for the 1st time in 7 weeks I locked the gates
