A few photos from my morning walk
It occurred to me that I don't do enough photography, in fact recently its been non existent, there’s always something to do so when wou

Life after spawning!
There is a reason we call March/April and early May 'clubbing season' is pretty easy to understand with big carp from all over Europe on social media and in the magazines. As they wake up from their winter slumber it always takes them a month or so to be totally on ther guard. But after spawning in my exoeriance things always change after winter, banker baits, colours and methods often seem to become redundant and new baits and methods are called for, it always seems a tad tr

April gets off to a great start!
With a few days left of the week I wanted to do a little update on Matt, Dan and Adam's week so far. Thursday is my day off so it is a good opportunity to get a little update done. Unfortunately we had a very sad loss in the family late last week so I will be back in the UK for a short while so this may be the last blog for a week or two. Ok, so this is the lads first visit to Lac Du Coron and like it does most newcomers it took them a day or so to get to understand the lake

March 10th - 24th catch report
I am a little behind on the catch reports from the last few weeks, so if you haven't been keeping up with all the goings on at Lac Du Coron then here are some galleries, just click left or right to scroll through. A little overview. Conditions here have been harsh over the last month, huge swings in tempretures from -4 to +15. Easterly, Northerly and westerly winds, snow, rain and frosts.... All that being said it has fished very well with some very special fish hitting the n

Off and running after a cold start!
Our 1st week of the season was the coldest we have experianced at the lake in the two and a half years we have been open, pipes froze, gas froze, even the lake froze! It was a real test of endurance for Steve and Andy and I was impressed they hung it out! The lads understandably struggled, but neither of them blanked which I must admit was a real concern when I looked at the forecast for the week. It started of cold, typical late winter conditions, heavy frost and the Beast f

Last week of the season catch report.
The week starting12th of November saw our last full week of the season as returning anglers Nathan and Keiron enjoyed a cold weather session, and it really was a cold week, The lads had some stuning and very special fish which I have pictured below. Unfortuately Spud didn't manage a fish this time but I am sure he will put that right next season, enjoy the pics. #NicBrown #Carprigs #Carp #Frenchcarpfishing #mirrorcarp #commoncarp #Frenchlakes #Frenchcarpfishingholidays #Carpf

My Approach August 2017 - Carp fishing Tactics
Here is the 3rd installment in the 'My Approach' series of video blogs. Here I look at a couple of simple rigs and lead arrangements that I use here at Lac Du Coron and on the vast majority of waters that I fish.
In the next installment I will ramble on about bait, my thoughts and some of the tweeks I use plus my favourite hookbait choices. Hope you enjoy it.

For the 1st time in months I managed to get on the bank.
For the 1st time in months I managed to get on the bank this week with the cameras, fishing was of course the priority but I also wanted to get a few hints and tips vlogs done. Here are a few clips from that short trip, fingers crossed I can get a couple of the vlogs up and live by the end of the coming week. I'm going fishing, and conditions are changeable!
Well as many of you know we are now half way through the 1st of our 2 week mid summer close down. We have celebrated our wedding anniversary with close friends and family and worked hard at the lake cutting trees, tweaking the aeration system, painting the terrace and feeding the fish. But today Sharon and I are on our own for the first time in 6 weeks. We miss all our friends and family, but it does mean 1 thing, it's fishing time! I managed to do a couple of hours yesterday
